We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Support Engineer (Intern)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • Responsible for managing and supporting of the payment platforms to ensure availability, stability, reliability of the platforms, ensure minimum downtime and timely resolution issues when escalated or spotted internally.
  • Also, be involved in process documentation and monitoring application performance metrics.

 Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Proactive monitoring of processes and transactions leading to the identification potential glitches
  • Responsible for the availability, stability, reliability and operation of systems by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing production systems and services when required
  • Effective use of database querying languages and tools e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, etc. to develop queries and reports to analyze business process data for key management decision-making
  • Payment terminal (POS) configuration and support
  • To provide technical support to new and existing partners during and post integration as well ensure their seamless usage of the platforms and solutions
  • Track issues and work with component teams especially the application development team for timely resolution of system glitches and downtimes, release of fixes and deployment upgrades to existing solutions
  • Take ownership of incidents, follow them through, ensure timely resolution and prompt feedback
  • Maintain support documentation and job cards on new solutions and constantly updating the existing ones to serve knowledge base for new and existing team members.

Job Requirements

  • HND or B.Sc certification relevant to the role.
  • 0 – 1 year experience
  • Technically skilled to manage and support digital payment platforms and applications
  • Strong knowledge of mobile, web and POS applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in problem solving and ability to investigate and address application issues
  • Intermediate knowledge of database querying languages, especially MS SQL and MySQL
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging and financial (cards) transactions process flows
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Ability to keep up with innovations in application design.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent work ethics and time management skill
  • Good knowledge of customer/end user support and relationship management.

Salary Range
N50,000 – N100,000 / month.
